The Girlz

Here I am in Orlando with the Nieces and our big sunglasses!

I had to post this picture because Adaela just looked WAY TOO CUTE in it. She is a beauty, her Mom thinks so at least. Yes, Sam, I took a bath picture of her :).

Well, the more pictures I take with Adaela the more and more I realize how crazy I can look. I don't know if something comes over me when I am with her that makes me INSANE, or if I just look that way all the time. You can be the judge...

Grandma and Grandpa Ahlvers are were hear visiting and Adaela had a blast. They played games all day long while I was at work. Grandma is convinced Miss A will be walking any day now. I promise to keep you posted.

So, I took off work on Friday and we took our first trip to the Naples Zoo. Stephanie and Addison met us and we had a great time.
Adaela took a "ride" with Grandpa in his snazzy wheel chair at the zoo. She enjoyed the view and the company. And, I am pretty sure Grandpa had fun too with the wiggly worm, Adaela.

Adaela seemed to like the lions the best. I think it is because the lions most resemble Mom's hair every morning. Overall, the Naples zoo was pretty nice. The local news was there filming the new lion cubs and Adaela, Mom, Stephanie, and Addison made the news!

The whole day was SO exciting that Adaela and I had to do a little dance. Please see below...
Yes, she is a genius dancer!

Adaela's Kansas Grandparents are visiting, aka, my parents. I am posting some older pictures, because we have been having too much fun to take pictures :).

I've taken today off to be with the family and I think we are headed to the Naples zoo. I promise to post some Adaela loving the animal pictures tomorrow.

In the mean time, here is a gratuitous Mohawk shot of Miss Adaela E.

One her way...

Oh Adaela E., I can't believe you will soon be 11 months old and next month is your special Birthday month. Time truly does fly. I am sorry I have been behind in posting on our blog. Life has been busy but good.

Every day you are conquering new milestones. You now stand on your own like a big girl. You are starting to take steps from one furniture piece to another. I know you will be walking before me know it. You have befriended Tybalt and spend much of your day looking for him to "wrestle."
You learned a few new words like "kitty" and "ball."

Many people tell me how cute and sweet you look. But, if I had to choose one word to describe you it would be intense. You can be so "focused" (your father blames this one on me) and very determined. You are already very expressive. You are sensitive and so full of life. I think you could make an incredible actress some day, actually, if you want to, of course :)

You can be very loud when you talk and squeal. But, when you sing, your voice become very sweet. It has to be my one of my favorite sounds in the world. Next, to "Mama", of course. People may think I am nuts, but, I swear you can match pitch already when we sing our songs.

You swing at the park now and love it. You love to play in your room all by yourself like a "big girl." This play time includes pulling all your toys into the middle of your room, emptying the clothes out of your bottom drawer, and lots of talking.
You have four teeth now. Your two front teeth have come in and your look like a cute little jack-o-lantern. You love to eat. I think that Cheerios are your favorite, along with squash, and yogurt. We are still nursing. But, I know my days are numbered. I am so happy and proud to make it a whole year breast milk. A whole year of you and me.

I can not believe it has almost been a year. Dear Lord, I hope the rest of your life doesn't go this fast.
You are so FUN. We have a blast! My favorite time of the day is when we are playing on the living room floor together, laughing, and singing, and snuggling. Your smile lights up my heart.

I have no idea what the future holds for our special little family, but I do know together we will love every moment.
